Valbona National Park is situated in North of Albanian in the Albanian Alps. It covers 80 km2 along the river with the same name, Valbona River. The park is rich on a wide flora and fauna. Along the valley there are many small villages.
Not many people live in those villages but the ones who live there, are some of the most hospitable people in Albania. During your visit in Valbona you will meet a lot of locals and tourists too.
What to do
There are a lot of activities that you can do in Valbone. You can go for a short walk in the surrounding area or go hiking the whole day. Reach Theth NP in 6-7 hours from Valbone or go up to the Alpine Pastures like Doberdol. If you want to stay longer in Valbone then no problem, you can find a lot of hiking paths inside the National Park that will keep you busy the whole day.
